Synopsis: In an everyday situation, two friends argue over the concept of surprises. One friend insists that the other loves surprises. The kind of surprise is not specified but we begin to see that the surprise itself is significant. We follow these two through every day activities as they debate whether or not one of them likes surprises. As the day goes on we begin to see that everything is not as it appears to be. Some aspects of this dynamic seem off. In the end, we finally see that the surprise is that fact that one of the friends does not, in fact, exist. He is simply a figment of the others imag
Alex: male, age 20’s – 30’s. Alex is the friend that hates surprises. He is your average guy except for one specific thing; he sees things that aren’t there. Specifically, his best friend is a figment of his imagination. Alex is merely interested in living a calm, normal life. He spends most of his days ignoring his friend, Brad, as Brad tries to talk Alex into doing more.
Brad: male, early 20’s. Brad is a figment of Alex’s imagination. He is a happy go lucky guy that wants nothing more than to live life to the fullest. He is exasperated by his friend Alex that is clearly less than interested in adventure and simply wants to live a normal life.
