COLLABORATIVE FILM PROJECT TO SHOWCASE RGV TALENT
Short Script Call for Entries
Script Submission Deadline: June 25th 2010

Family and Life is a project that will showcase local talent in the Rio Grande Valley.  With the theme of Family, selected scripts by local writers will be produced and will be merged to create a feature length film comprised of short films.  The goal is to produce a festival eligible feature length film and expose the hidden talent of the Rio Grande Valley.

Screenplay Contest Guidelines:

• All scripts must answer the question, “What is the meaning of family?”
• Middle Finger Productions would like to stress creativity.  Any genre of film will be considered.  Any Genre.
• Scripts must be a maximum of fifteen(15) pages in length and in any written format.
• Detailed outlines will be accepted as well as multiple scripts by a single writer.
• No prior writing experience is necessary.

They are searching for the most original and inspired approach to this question.

Once all submissions have been received, directors will be chosen to helm each of the films.  Writers will not be allowed to direct their own scripts but others instead. All other production crew positions will be available as well. There will not be a limit on the number of positions one can hold on different films.  Collaboration is KEY.
