Synopsis:
Set in the late seventies and early eighties, Boogie Nights tells the story of Dirk Diggler, a nightclub dishwasher who becomes a major porn star and finds himself slowly descending into drug abuse as his fame attracts him to a crowd of users and abusers. The scene to be shot and rehearsed is at the beginning of the script. It is when Dirk Diggler and adult filmmaker Jack Horner first meet at the nightclub’s kitchen. THERE IS NO NUDITY.
Character Breakdowns:
- Dirk Diggler- (18 – early 30s) nightclub dishwasher born with a major “endowment” and aspirations for stardom.
- Jack Horner- (late 20s – early 60s) Experienced adult filmmaker searching for the next big thing.
