Jettisode 2012 – Are You Ready For The End Of The World?

While researching upcoming films to review for future “Jettisodes,” Jett Garner explores the legends, myths and what if’s of the origins behind epic disaster master filmmaker Roland Emmerich’s upcoming feature film 2012. The film stars John Cusack and Amanda Peet caught in an adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world.
It’s not so much the film itself that catches Jett’s attention but the prospect of survival preparedness if a natural or unnatural disaster were to actually occur. Do you know how to start a fire? Build a shelter for your family? Hunt and skin an animal? Purify water for drinking?
Welcome to Jettisode 2012 (officially #11). Prepare for the end times…while the good times roll. (you damn dirty apes!)

Many folks do take 2012 seriously.
Here is a great website to learn 2012 Survival skills: http://www.2012supplies.com/forum
Even if 2012 is a non-event, disasters do happen it it may be a good idea to learn a little about disaster preparedness anyway. Like the website says: Be smart… be ready.

Thanks for the link Dennis. It’s funny I actually began thinking about the potential for the end of the world a little bit after watching the Jettisode. I quickly remembered the fluke now known as Y2K and just as soon dropped my fears. However, the survival skills info is very interesting and could well come in handy in even none world ending events.
Thanks,
Shawn Hunter
