Jettisode 15 – “Old Man Hollywood”
Last week, Austin Actor/Director Jett Garner pleaded for viewer’s to leave respectful and constructive responses and comments to the films shown on ShortFilmTexas. What we got instead was a very unnecessarily crude and vicious email sent to ShortFilmTexas in regards to the latest episode of the Dallas, Texas web series “Dallywood.”
In Jettisode 15(!!) Jett responds to this delightful old man’s email and then puts in his 3 cents regarding another aging Hollywood old-timer, Roman Polanski and his recent arrest.

I’m sure Mr. Stone is bitter or arrogant. Mr. stone, if you can’t say something nice etc… I’m 61 years old and just wrote and produced my first short film. Yes, it’s on IMDB. It may not fall in Mr.Stone’s catagory of good work, but it was fun. I got to work with a bunch of talented young people and hope to do more projects. Like the Dallywood crew, we’ll get better. Keep going Mr. Garner.

Now that is putting someone on blast . There are more people trying to criticize than there are trying to create … that’s because it takes a very broad vision to see what you dream through to reality . Stone , put up or shut up . Thank you to Chris Weidner , and Jett Garner , plus all those at ShortFilmTexas for putting together so much effort as to give the industry in Texas a centralized resource for us to do our thing . HELLYEAH !
