Synopsis:
A Pakistani woman, forced into arranged marriage and moved to America by an absent husband, falls in love with a handsome medical student. Revenge and betrayal test their love when the affair is discovered.

Character Breakdowns:

• RAJANI Late teens. A beauty from Pakistan. Forced into arranged marriage with Akhil. Obedient to tradition until she moves to America and meets Dipak.
• AKHIL Late 20s. A Pakistani engineer . Conservative and fiercely loyal to his responsibilities as a husband. Hard worker.
• MANU Late 40s. Americanized Pakistani but traditional when it comes to his family. Akhil’s boss.
• TARA Early 40s. Manu’s wife. Dipak’s mother. Traditional wife and parent. Supportive to both husband and child. One foot in America and the other in Pakistan tradition.
• DIPAK (20s) Born in America but can speak in his parent’s native tongue. A medical student. Very much a “lady’s man.” Handsome. Ignores his parents traditions. Selfish.

Special Notes for Potential Cast/Crew:
This is a low-budget short 6-minute film for a film festival. Full credits (IMDB as well) are provided, meals, copy, and compensation. Note that compensation may not be huge since it’s low-budget and a student film. We will shoot 2 days (6 – 8 hours max each day), weekends. Help me. Thanks!
