Auditions will be held at 1010 West Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston, TX 77043 at the Performing Arts Center of Houston Community College’s Town and Country Campus between the hours of 12-2pm and 6-8pm.

Character Breakdowns:

Adult Stephen Gudrun: gay male, mid to late 20’s, handsome, successful despite a haunted past

Michael: gay male, in his 20’s, Stephen’s partner

Young Stephen Gudrun: gay male, teenager, pivotal role of the film

Paula Gudrun: female, 30’s-40’s, Stephen’s mother, harbors a deep secret and seeks redemption

Don Gudrun: male, 30’s-40’s, Stephen’s father, jaded by his own bitterness towards his son’s homosexuality

Gary: male, mid 40’s -60’s, takes Stephen in when he has nowhere else to go, seedy character

Many of these characters require a wide range of emotion.

If you have a resume, please bring it with you otherwise audition sheets will be provided. Do not bring any rehearsed material with you. It will not be needed for your audition. Also, if you are unable to make it to the scheduled audition, please contact us and we would be happy to set up an appointment anytime before January 14th 2009.

“Pieces” will be entered worldwide into a prestigious film contest promoted by humanitarians and although no one will be paid, including the filmmakers, the amount of exposure created by this project will be significant. A copy of your finished work will be provided to you on DVD.
