Casting:
- Charlie, Early to Mid 30s- A talented artist and husband who for his own reasons has decided to commit suicide and has gone to great lengths to make it possible. He is self absorbed, extremely cynical, but underneath all that is a very good guy.
- Baron Samedi, Various – A soul guide from the underworld that carries a list of the people he has to escort to the other side. He changes forms as to not draw attention to himself from the living. He is always eating fresh red apples. Several Actors, both male and female, will play him.
- The Baron, 20s to 50s – A cynical, witty, suave and aloof Grim Reaper. He is too busy to care about the personal problems of the souls he escorts and is often seen as cold and uncaring. He finds Charlie particularly annoying.
- Dr. Baron, Female, Late 20s to Early 30s – As noted previously Baron changes shape as to not draw too much attention to himself. She reveals The Baron’s rarely seen caring side. Because even though reaping the souls of the dead is a cold business it doesn’t mean you have to be mean about it either.
- Baron Dishwasher, Male, Late Teens- Early 20s – This time The Baron disguises himself as a kitchen hand to scout out his next potential dead soul.
- Greg Black, Late Teens Early 20s – A chain-smoking young man who is really hard on his luck. He has a terrible minimum wage job, he can barely keep up with school, his mother is never home and he still has to take care of his father who is dying of cancer. Despite all this he is humble, hard working and takes it all in stride.
- Mr. John Black, Late 50s to 70s – Mr. Black is dying of cancer and knows that the end of his life near. He has seen war and poverty and though he shows signs of dementia he still knows Death’s true face.
