This is a thesis project for NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, to be shot in and around San Antonio, Texas.
Casting:
- SISTER ROMERO (late 40’s-60’s): dark hair, stern and wizened, Latina – Stringent and hardworking head of resident relations at Santa Lucia elderly complex. She is reverent and cold; she has begun to forget that humanity exists in her residents. Estimated Number of shooting Days: Two
- ANNA (late 70’s-80’s): white/grey hair, cute face, Caucasian – Cute, round and portly, completely consumed by dementia, excessively jolly in a demented manner. Estimated Number of shooting Days: Two (Partial Days)
- OLD MAN HERNANDEZ (late 60’s-70’s): Latino, tall and thin, wears suspenders. – Old resident upset about being forced out of the Elderly home; comical experience good. Estimated Number of shooting Days: 1/2 of a Day
- MR. HERNANDEZ (early 30’s): Latino – Newlywed; irate son of Old Man Hernandez; he is forced to take his father home with him. Estimated Number of shooting Days: 1/2 of a Day
- MRS. HERNANDEZ (early 30’s): Latina – Newlywed; saddened by her new families’ unfortunate situation. Estimated Number of shooting Days: 1/2 of a Day
- SCARY GIRL (16-21): Caucasian or Latina – Very confident and abrasive young girl; wears a lot of makeup; wears street clothes; gives Frank a piece of her mind when he gets in her way. Estimated Number of shooting Days: 1/4 of a day.
- NUN #1 and NUN #2 (40’s- 50’s): Caucasian or Latina, younger than Sister Romero – Sister Romero’s two sidekicks; their piety is strong and their residents sometimes get the better of them. Estimated Number of shooting Days: Two (only partial days)
- DAVY CROCKETT IMPERSONATER (25-40): Caucasian, Bearded – Looks like Davy Crockett; comes with costume is a plus. Estimated Number of shooting Days: 1/3 of a Day
- 5 or 6 CHILDREN (10-14 years-old): Caucasian and/or Latino – Live in a South Town neighborhood, enjoying the festive time of year. Estimated Time of Shooting: 2 Hour max
- YOUNG FRANK (4-6): Caucasian – Boy with dark hair, could pass as a younger version of Frank; focus of nostalgic flashback; runs joyously through a lawn. Estimated Time of Shooting: 1/2 Day
- YOUNG FRANK (12-14): Caucasian – Boy with dark hair, could pass as a younger version of Frank (only to be used in a photograph) Estimated Time of Shooting: 1 Hour max
