Synopsis:
GET OUT! OF THE CLOSET! is a new comedy web series and mock-reality show following host Natalie O’Sullivan’s awkward and ill-mannered attempts to help men accept the fact that they are gay through an intervention-style confrontation. Unfortunately for the men appearing on the show, friends and/or loved ones (mistakenly suspecting their sexual preference) have signed them up for it, leading to disastrous consequences. Naturally the men deny the accusations, and Natalie further exacerbates the situation by refusing to believe them. Through humorous characters and scenarios, every element of this conceit will investigate the modern concept of “getting better by appearing on television,” as well as questioning the bizarre lengths our society will go for the sake of modern entertainment.

Character Breakdowns:

• CARLITO: (Male, almost 21 years old) Very slight, very young, very gay. Frosted blonde tips would be nice and some glitter on the face. His outfits are courtesy of Marc by Marc Jacobs by way of TJ Maxx.
• BRIAN: (Male, about 27 years old) Total nerd-alert, sloppy and slovenly, hair is sort of messy and weird. Basic (uncool) hipster uniform: hoodie, sneakers, a beard and glasses would be nice. His temperament is quiet and non-confrontational; the kind of person who might not say much but is incredibly bright and well-read, and might be fluent in Klingon.
• BLAKE: (Male, late teens, could play a high school senior) He’s handsome, athletic, popular, and The All-American athlete. His personality isn’t imposing, he’s basically enjoying looking good and not caring about much and, in short, living the High School American Dream. Dark hair and blue eyes are preferable.
• JESSICA: (Female, late teens, could play a high school senior). She is Blake’s girlfriend, popular, extremely attractive, blonde hair is preferable but not mandatory.
• JAMIE: (Male, about 31 years old) A computer programmer, he lives with his stoner roommate. Possibly a sociopath, he’s of average size and build. He is Natalie O’Sullivan’s stalker, and appears relatively normal on the surface (save the weird hair and/or hipster glasses).
• RECORD STORE MANAGER: (Male, 30s to 50s) He’s big, angry, and imposing. Age and race less important than comedic timing and screen-presence.
• STONER: Male, about 31 years old) He’s about Jamie’s age, and sports ratty clothes and dread-locks. Again, age and race less important than comedic timing and screen-presence.
