Austin-based production company Shades of Strange Films is casting for their new film series “Brilliant”.

Synopsis:
Brilliant is a story that poses the question: What if an object, that possesses the ability to give the possessor higher thought, has driven the progress of humanity ever since the beginning of humanity? What if some of the most famous and infamous characters throughout history have possessed this object? What if the current person in possession, 72-year-old Morey Kay, is a moron? What would happen to humanity? Morey is retiring his position and looking for an apprentice to take his place.

Character Breakdown:
Morey Kay: White, 60’s, bumbling, non-intellectual, thin, and small framed (frail). Looking for someone who is either the age of Morey or some one in their 50s that could be aged with makeup. Think William Hickey (look him up).

The actor for Morey Kay should be a strong charatcer actor. Someone who can create a unique and interesting character.
