Synopsis:
Phil, a down and out failure who spends his days huffing paint in alleys, reconnects with a teenage love via Facebook. He’s never felt as happy or as peaceful as those teenage summers some thirty years ago spent with Janice on Lake Texarkana where their families returned each year. Filled with anticipation and longing, Phil prepares for their reunion that evening. Janice, on the other hand, doesn’t remember him at all. Or so she says.

Character Breakdowns:

• [JANICE BALDWIN (mid 50s to 60s)] Caucasian. 50 to 65 to play mid 50s to 60s. A handsome and accomplished career woman. Polished. She remembers Phil fondly, but has had a full life with a good husband. She removes her wedding ring on meeting Phil though, remembering him fondly enough to leave her options open. On seeing him, however, partly because he is such a mess, and partly because it would be better for him to move on, she pretends to not remember him at all.
• [KIM YEU (25 to 50)] Asian. Grumpy clerk at Goodwill.
• [YOUNG PHIL (15-17)] Caucasian. 15 to 22 to play 15 to 17. All American apple pie Kid. Innocent. Diving scenes in cutoffs.
• [YOUNG JANICE (15-17)] Caucasian. 15 to 22 to play 15 to 17. All American apple pie kid. Innocent. Freckles preferred. One underwater scene in bathing suit.
• [METHADONE CLINIC MAN (35 to 65)] Fights with Phil when he tries to cut in line at the methadone clinic.
• BACKGROUND PERFORMERS: [People standing in line at the methadone clinic. Bartender. Waitress. Bar Patrons.]
