Synopsis:
In the distant future mankind has migrated to another planet to escape the uninhabitable toxic wasteland that the Earth had become. After a number of years it seems that mankind has put the new planet, Ouroburos, on a path to destruction as well. A group of elite minds developed Operation Genesis. The operation entails sending Franklin Lantz to Earth to research what happened to the original planet in order to gain valuable insight for saving Ouroburos from the same fate.
After years of research on Earth and even with the company of a beautiful helper android named Andrea, Frank longs to go home to Ouroburos to see his family. Upon arrival at Ouroburos Frank’s world is turned upside down when discovers the world has aged 47 years while he has remained young. Frank then learns the truth from his creator that he was biomechanically engineered to carry out Operation Genesis on the uninhabitable planet.
Character Breakdowns:
- Franklin Lantz – (Male, 25 – 30) – Intellegent, articulate, handsome, well built. He is very dedicated and involved in his mission on earth but he is soft when it comes to people he cares about. Though he is an android, he thinks he is human and takes a sort of pride in his emotions. His actions and movements are very human but a little too clean and perfect. Think Robin Williams in bicentinneal man or Gigilo Joe in A.I.. The actor will need to be able to act without blinking their eyes.
- Andrea – (Female, 25 – 30) – Cheerful, beautiful, caring and motherly. She is Franks helper android. She doesn’t question what she is. Her joys in life are serving and providing company for Frank. She is also a partner in the research and concerned about it’s progress. She is in love with Frank and not afraid to show her disapproval when he decides to leave her. The way she moves is human but a little too perfect. The actor playing her will need to be able to act without blinking their eyes and to stand as frozen as a statue for a period of time.
- Dr. David Sloan – (Male, Late 50’s to early 70’s) -Gray hair. Disheveled appearance. Neurotic scientist. He is the brilliant mind behind Frank. He engineered him and gave Frank his memories. He is the one that decided not to tell Frank what he was. He is resigned to the factthat humanity has reached its end but yet still obsesses over his own research. Think Doc Brown from Back to the Future except with a little whiskey in him and less likable. This character will be involved in a slight scuffle with Frank.
- Kathryn – (Female, Late 50’s to early 70’s) – Gray hair. Attractive. Brittle. Gentle. She is the only one that is sympathetic to Frank. She was in a relationship with Dr. David Sloan back in the days when they engineered him. It was her idea to engineer Andrea for Frank. She left Sloan because he refused to tell Frank what he was. She represents the side of humanity that is worth saving.
- John – (Male, Late 40’s – Early 50’s) Kathryn’s son. Handsome and polite.
