The Austin Film Society (AFS) has announced their new Texas Filmmakers Travel Grant (TFTG) initiative. TFTG will launch on September 1st.

The program has been established to help offset travel costs for Texas filmmakers whose films are invited to film festivals and events around the world. The Austin Film Society will grant small travel stipends to Texas filmmakers on a rolling, year-round basis. AFS is setting aside $10,000 annually from the Texas Filmmakers Production Fund (TFPF) to establish the program.

Travel stipends will be granted in amounts of $500 for US film festivals and events and $1,000 for international film festivals and events to eligible Texas filmmakers.
