TCU Student Filmmaker’s Association Holding Auditions for Two Short Films
TCU’s Student Filmmakers Association is holding auditions on the Texas Christian University campus for its spring shorts.

Auditions will occur Saturday February 23rd and Sunday February 24th from noon to 6PM both days.
The two films are “STANDBY” and “THE RETI OPENING.”
Title: STANDBY
Shooting Schedule: April 4-6, 11-13
Synopsis:
A Killer is on the loose and the staff at a college radio station are
his targets.
Casting:
(Note: All characters between 19-22 unless otherwise indicated)
Emma: Comes from a mid-size town, so not completely naïve to all things that go on in college.
Weston: Very dry sense of humor. Can come off as a jerk sometimes. His close friends see past this.
Rita: Cute girl. Dark hair. Would be described as being adorable like a teddy bear. Very innocent looking, but can be sassy if need be.
Trent: Most people would call him a ladies man. Very charming. Dark features. Mysterious to women.
Lauren: The typical hot girl. Must be comfortable in a bikini. Preferably tall.
Jake: All-American guy in terms of how he interacts with people.
John Bryan: The station manager. Mid 30s – Mid 40s. Fatherly figure.
Vincent/The Killer: Vincent was a quiet kid growing up. His obsession with the radio station turns deadly when things change. Preferable age 25-30. Tall, preferably bigger guys, but not set on it. He is cold and calculated in all he does.
Sherri Parker (character Liam’s mother): Business woman in her 40’s - 50’s. Seems to spend most of her time stressed out at the office.
Sometimes comes across as irritable when busy at work. Thinks it is professional to keep her emotions in check until she learns her son is in danger.
Smaller roles include:
-Various Radio Station DJs (about 5-6)
-Extras for a party
-Police Officers
Film Title: THE RETI OPENING
Shooting Schedule: April 18-20
Casting:
Sam Jordan (19-26): Overly confident Grandmaster Chess player. Has achieved international fame within chess circle and plays professionally in tournaments all over the world. Has a cockiness that comes with being the best at something at an early age. Impatient at times, smart, and unafraid to speak his mind. When he plays chess, he’s merciless. Intelligent- and studious-looking.
Old Man (50-80): Calm, collected, caring gentleman who finds himself lonely more than not. Won’t give advice but simply listens intently. He is simple, but has a sharp quality to his simplicity. White or gray hair. Must have a European accent of some sort or be able to recreate one.
Middle Aged Man (25-40): Really excited. This guy has to be a bit of a nerd, since he recognizes an international chess star. He must be overly confiding and in-your-face. European accent would be nice (British, perhaps).
Roles are not paid, but food will be provided.

Hey Chris =) The story looks fun and looks tempting to check out, as long as I get a cute girls part hehe =p Hey, have you thought about submitting any of your shorts/videos to film fests? I know that they’re now allowing online content like webisodes and online films to be eligible for nomination in this years Primetime Emmy’s? I think last year they were allowed for the DT Emmy’s, so it’s pretty cool they’re actually considering online amateur/indie footage for nomination this year. If you’re interested or want to read more, check out http://www.emmys.com . I’m workin with the Academy to help spread the message about the new nominations, so if you get to check it out let me know! And spread the love =)
