Synopsis: Painting her nails one afternoon, ten year old Margaret Bixby accidentally sets her arm on fire. Now, what started as a normal Saturday has turned into something of a peculiar adventure for Margaret, her mother Robin, brother Ben, and pet goldfish, Carl.

A deranged doctor, a timid African exchange student, and a couple of intellectual gastronomists are all introduced to Margaret along the way.

The events of the day finally come to a head as Margaret wanders alone in the backyard as it transforms into a surreal and wondrous dreamscape.
