The Network Austin Guest speaker at the Wednesday July 9 Mixer will be Director of the Texas Film Commission, Bob Hudgins. Bob will update us about what needs to be done in the upcoming legislative session to keep the Texas film incentive package alive and growing. The Texas Motion Picture Alliance ( TXMPA ) and Bob’s leadership have been critical in getting the incentive package passed, but we face another hurdle.
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT MIXER.
If we as Texas filmmakers don’t ACT NOW AND CONTACT YOU REPRESENTATIVES the film industry in Texas could take even a bigger dive than it has for the simple reason that other states have stronger incentives. Don’t sit on the sidelines and wish.
