University of Texas student casting for a short film “Immigrant” for an undergraduate thesis project.

Schedule: Two day shoots the weekend of March 29th, 30th and April 5th, 6th.
Character Breakdowns:
Pedro - a poverty-stricken Hispanic immigrant (20-35 yrs. old). He struggles to collect money for his ill father in an unforgiving, new environment. He discovers his collection is stolen from him after work one day. His status as an illegal immigrant hinders his cry for justice. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
Alberto - Hispanic immigrant worker (20-35 yrs. old). Alberto works with Pedro as an immigrant. Rough around the edges, Alberto works to pay off an owed debt. Strong, yet selfish. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
Landlord - White apartment owner (35-50 yrs. old). He owns the apartments in which Pedro’s money is stolen. He needs back payments of rent from Pedro. Unconcerned and unforgiving.
Pedro (as a child) - 10-12 years of age. Hispanic.
Pedro’s father - 30-45 years of age. Hispanic.
