Casting for Texas Short Film “A Date With The Sunrise.”

Film Details:
This is a very stylized short drama in which a painter and a writer together tell a story of a man in purgatory who is continually drawn to thoughts of his ex-lover. There is little dialogue, but relies heavily on imagery, color composition, and V.O.

Casting:

JAMES (18-25) - to play both the writer as well as the man in purgatory. This will all be made clear when you read the script. James constantly is tempted with flashbacks and fantasies of his previous lover. Must have experience as well as a powerful voice as this is the leading role and will be providing the V.O.

AMY (18-25) – James’ lover. Amy will also play the role of the artist (and you get to paint too!) As a forewarning, lines were not written for the part of Amy, but her role is equally as strong as James’ therefore the style of this character is extremely important.
