Austin Film “Dialectic” Casting Call.

Film Title: Dialectic
Location: Austin, TX
Shooting Schedule: April 1-10

Synopsis:
Female lead “Julie” is a writer and lives with a close friend, both in college. Her current project depicts a male protagonist and his “Dexter”-like administration of justice (i/e he’s a serial killer). The connections between her “main character” and her roommate/friend begin to blur, leaving the audience wondering exactly where her inspiration comes from for her writing; this question remains unsolved until the end.

Casting:

JULIE: Female lead…very intelligent, and virtually the anti damsel in distress. Her personality is very approachable, but underneath she’s a very smug person. In three words, Julie is: intentional, efficient, and controlled. Physically fit, and a graduate student, age range roughly 22-26.

CINDI: A victim of the killer’s ‘justice’ and a very different type of personality as compared with Julie. A very attractive and active socialite, drifting through life without aim. Age range also in the 22-24 area.

Paid/Non-Paid: Both roles are paid but day rates are not finalized.
