Synopsis: “In This Place” is a story about the effects of globalization on the individual and family life.

Jane moves back home to help discover herself as an artist, only to be left alone as each of her family members announces their departure. With each of them retreated to different corners of the globe, Jane uses her imagination to escape the loneliness and isolation she feels and in so doing discovers what she ultimately wants:  a stronger connection with her family.

Character Breakdown:

MARK: Male Lead. Late teens/early 20s. Jane’s youngest brother. Self-centered & fun-loving. Gets by on his good looks and charisma, though often hides behind an air of indifference. Unhappy that his sister is cramping his style, and decides to do something about it.

Will require shooting 4-5 days in Austin. Can work with actors’ schedules.
