The Winter Weekend Intensive
A Physical Approach to Acting

January 12th and 13th, 2008
Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Texas State University - San Marcos

The Physical Actor uses the actor’s body and physicalization to access life experiences, emotional, and psychological states, intuitive knowledge, and creativity.

The training develops the actor’s:
- Trust in her/his creative instincts and how she or he expresses them
- Confidence in working spontaneously from impulse into action
- Skill to embody the text (making the words her/his own)

It is especially effective for actors who:
- Feel disconnected from their bodies, awkward and stiff
- Would like to GET OUT OF THEIR HEADS—let go of self-conscious control

Cost: $150 for the weekend.
