Shooting will begin in July. This is a non-union, deferred payment gig.

Plotline: Nita, an aspiring artist, has a secret. She calls it a curse, others call it a gift, the institution calls her crazy. When medication that regulates her prophetic dreams runs out, she is left with a difficult choice. Now she must face the pressures of what is morally right and what is socially accepted in a world where being ‘different’ can be your downfall.

Who: We still have not found our lead role. This is a short notice casting call geared primarily to finding our female latina lead. We are slated to begin filming on July 16th and will continue through until August 4th. Please understand that the female lead is the most important role in the film so we ask that you expect to be filming practically everyday during that three week time period.

What we are looking for is as follows:

Nita - Lead Latina, mid-20’s, girl next door, beautiful - but not glamorous, leading lady type, slender, attractiveshe must carry the film. She is a woman with a mysterious past and psychological trauma.

DeVon- Supporting, 15-18 African-American, son of Cherise, brother of Shantelle.

Shantelle- Supporting, 12-16, African-American, daughter of cherise, sister of DeVon. Has difficulty dealing with father’s death.

Elliot- 7-10, Any Ethnicity, kidnapping victim who is reunited with his family in the end, very emotional.

Elliot’s Mom and Elliot’s Dad- 30’s - 40’s Any Ethnicity must be able to express the emotion of being reunitedwith their kidnapped son. Must also look like the parents of Elliot. (Families with acting experience are a plus)
